Pink Tip haitian anemone?

So i recently was given a pink tip anemone. i know they feed mainly off of light, i have good lighting no problem, how would i go about feeding it meaty foods. Would i just put like half a cube of brine in or near it??? Im an extreme beginner so definetly would love some advice.

Some pictures would help to correctly identify the species of anemone you have so that you could better be helped. Common names 99% of the time aren't correct or are too broad.

It is a Condylactis species, though 'haitian anemone' is a common name for it. Brine will be insufficient. Try krill, silversides, squid, etc. IME, most of these anemones will readily accept silversides. I would try to target around 2-3x per week for better health, as yours looks to be slightly bleached.

yes, it does look like a condylactis species. I have a pink tip one in my tank and it eats half of a silverside at a time, about once a week. it started out pretty pale but has turned very dark brown after a month under MH lighting. they are pretty hardy though.

Now when i feed it, do i just place it in the center and it will take to it??? and secondly, if that is the case, how would you do that when it is on the glass - im probably asking some pretty genric questions. i apoligize im a begginer

No need to apologize, since you have done nothing wrong by asking honest questions. At least you are willing to find out. Anyway, my preference is to feed at night, when most fish aren't out and about. Gently place it on the tentacles--the animal should sense the food and pull it inward toward the mouth, so long as it is in reasonable shape. If you can look from the side of the tank, you should be able to see it feed.

I would cut about a 1/4 or 1/2 piece of silverside and put it in its tentacles. healthy condy's are usually pretty aggressive about grabbing it. I don't know what you have for light, but depending on itensity, it should turn brown(er) in a few weeks as the symbiotic algae grow.
