Pinkstreaked wrasse pairing?

Hi all,
I have a fullgrown pinkstreaked wrasse (Pseudocheilinops ataenia) in my tank but yesterday found a much smaller individual in an LFS. This got me thinking, would it be possible to pair them?
Mine is full grown and full coloured, this one had a far paler colouration and was 1/4 the size of mine. Am I courting disaster?

Your wrasse will kill her unless you have another tank to put your grown wrasse in until the new one is acclimated for a few days. Rearrrange the rocks and put him in so he thinks its a new tank. Male wrasses don't like new females in my experience, they don't harass them they kill them.

Thanks for the advice, I think I may give it a miss until I upgrade as I would have to break the tank down to catch the male:thumbsup:
