Pinstriped Melanarus Wrasse QT Time

Hey all,

Picked up a beautiful Melanarus Wrasse last night, and today's his first day in QT. It's a barebottom QT.....

Now, I have a Coris in the DT, and I'm familiar with their sand-loving habits....

Should I place some sand in the QT (maybe in a little dish or tray) for him to hide in?

Yes, either way. They need the sand or they will likely injure their mouth.

Thanks LA, will do tonight when I get home
. I think I'll scoop some sand from the DT and place in a dish as deep as I can find, or as big as the wife will let me take from the kitchen, hahahaaha!!!

Ha, kitchen stuff is off limits for fish stuff. Wife would throw a fit.

I kept one in a BB QT tank for a couple months now. He has a small tupperwear of sand, but never uses it
