Pipefish feeding question..

I have a 180G that has been setup for nearly a year with a 1-2inch sandbed and about 200lbs of live rock.

The only thing in the tank is a 5 inch clam, a perc clown, and 2 pipefish. The pipefish have been eating pods non-stop for the past couple of days.. Do I really need to add any other food for them.. They seem fat and happy and I know there will never be a shortage of pods.. Is that good enough?

What kind of pipes are they? In a tank that size, they should be fine foraging - much healthier than if they were depending on you to keep them fed.

I have a banded pipe and a blue stripe.. I kinda like the self-sustaining feed idea as well..
