namxas Things With Stings R Us! Oct 27, 2010 #2 We kept D. janssi in a mixed softy reef for a good 3 years before losing it in a tank crash after a move. Pipes have similar lifespans as SH...typically 3-5 years. Dwarf pugnose pipes may have shorter lifespans, but I've never kept them.
