Pipefish

Hi my lfs has some pipefish and SH's in one of thier tanks and I didnt get a chance to ask but I'm beting that they are eating regular food and not live mainly. My main question is, if they are eating freeze dried and the like type of food how hard are they to keep? Esp. in a 20 gallon? thanks

most pipefish do not eat frozen foods, no matter WHAT the lfs says. they mainly eat brine shrimp and small ghost shrimp.
Seahorses also mainly eat frozen, not freeze dried foods. if the LFS says that they are eating flake food, then they are starving to death right now also...
the horses should be eating frozen mysis shrimp, and the pipes baby brine shrimp, or enriched brine shrimp.
