Pistol shrimp and Gobie Pair

I have a 20 gallon reef and, i have gone through 2 Haze Gobies in 2 months, they keep jumping out and i don't have a canopy.
What other type of Gobie will pair up with a Pistol shrimp and not be a jumper?

I think all types of gobies will jump if frightened, Orangespotted gobies will pair up with pistols and they're cheaper then Yasha Haze, maybe you shoud also try to figure out why the fish are jumping. Something or someone is making them jump, gobies just don't decide that their life has no meaning and they need to end their life by "sleeping with the people".

It seams that right after I do a water change i loose sight of the Gobie. Every thing else is fine though, it did just great before that as well. Thanks for the input.

Exactly right. Something is spooking those fish! Fish jump as a matter of escape, by jumping out of the water they are expecting to return to the water in a different place thus escaping.

I would suggest maybe a Yellow watchman or an orange spotted goby. Those "should" pair up with the shrimp and should less jumpy than the Yasha Haze.

he speaks the truth. i've had a yellow watchman that paired with a pistol, and currently have an orange spot with a pistol. no jumping out of those two. my poor yasha haze on the other hand, was found on the floor one morning. a crying shame.

My Randall's Goby never even swims more than half way up the tank. And always shoots down into burrows when frightened, never up. (A pair of clowns and springeri pseudo keep him on his toes...err...fins) :) JME.
