pistol shrimp questions

i just bought a green pistol shrimp and just wanted to verify that they are reef safe and safe around cleaner shrimp, i just watched a you tube video of one in the wild eating a cleaner shrimp..... thanks!

you will get mixed answers on that question. i personally say no they are not. i had a few in my reef tanks and they destroyed them, always moving rock work and digging holes making stuff shift and then they killed abunch of my inverts.

but there have been people who kept them in reefs and dont mind the havok they cause or they are lucky and got a well manered pistol shrimp.

also, after adding him i noticed on spot on my watchman goby that is a little discolored maybe from an impact with something and has a very small sore, like a very very small cut, did the shrimp do it, i thought they liked watchmans?

I have a tiger with my ywm and he is a model citizen, tankmates include fire shrimp, cleaner shrimp, and peppermint shrimp.

good, i dont think the mark on my wmg is from the shrimp, they are both staying in the same burrow, so i guess they get along! havent seen the shrimp since i put him in though, guess i might in the next couple of days, how do they form their bond? will the shrimp start coming out during the day now that he has the goby?
