pistol shrimp/randall pair with a blenny in tank - can it work?

I've recently acquired a goby/pistol shrimp pair to be picked up.

However; I have a very slow scooter blenny that scoots along slowly - as they do. I'm not quite sure how these little buggers have been able to live for as long as they do, considering how slow they move.

My big concern is the pistol shrimp and when he scoots on by him. One shot of the pistol and it's game over for the blenny.

Or, can the three live in harmony?

I like my blenny, and won't give him up for the pair - but if I know they can live without the pistol attacking him, I will do all of them.

Does anyone have experience with the three co-existing in the tank?

Tank is 77 gallons. Plenty of places for them to hide, but of course the blenny will eventually scoot in front of their 'layer'

Thoughts?

I would imagine you'll be okay. Fish are smarter than they look.

A couple notes. Your scooter is a "dragonet", not a blenny.

And it's "lair", not "layer". ;)

Good luck.

And as an aside, speed has never been a requisite for evolutionary fitness. Scooters are highly camouflaged. Cheers.

You actually didn't answer my question. Would you of preferred if I called it Neosynchiropus ocellatus? Common misconception, but referred to in the hobby mainly as a blenny, rather than a dragonet.

For being a pretentious University student, I would of assumed you had a better answer than to critique my grammar. Your post count must be attributed to your education on enunciation rather than your area of supposed expertise.

But hey, I'll throw a smiley face in there and pretend I'm not a dick.

Thanks for the information, I'll base my decision off of your answer. Thank you! :)

I mention the blenny issue because it can lead to big misconceptions about the fish.
The rest I mention because, yes, I am obnoxious. Cheers.
