Pistol tiger shrimp killing royal gamma??

Ok so I have a tiger pistol shrimp with his YWH. Couple days ago I got a royal gamma, saw it for 2 days and disappeared. My tank has a lid so no jumping out. Moved all the rock and no sight, only possible explanation...is in the tiger shrimp hole... Could it be that the shrimp kill it? The gamma was eating fine and active so don't think it just died for the heck of it. Any ideas?

With rare exception, tiger pistols Don't Kill Fish. And grammas can/do keel over for no apparent reason. My guess is that the gramma either died and was eaten by various tank critters, or it's found a good hiding spot.

+1. The tiger pistol's sonic blast is not enough to get a healthy fish. And remember they are practically blind so the gramma probably is just hiding or eaten.
