Pittson, PA LFS

I recently had a relative tell that an LFS in Pittson, Pet Zone, is one of the top saltwater stores in the area. I am unaware of it, but that doesnt mean much...

any feedback? Is it worth my drive south?

Not a clue havnt heard of it i cant speak for everyone but i know a good chunk of us go to Abc reef in Syracuse for a good chunk of things which is an hour away from us. Have you checked out That Fish Place? Thats a shop worth taking a road trip for i go there once every 3 months

I have driven up to ABC to check it out, nice... but its over 100 mi north of me -- so its a trip - not to mention the gas, etc (my diesel truck is not high mpg). hoping to also find some closer... Pittson is less than half of that to the south.

I was at that store on Monday for the first time. I can't really tell you much about their stock tho, as I am new to sw. Very clean place and the owner seemed very informative, even though it wouldn't take much to feed me saltwater coral info as I really don't know too much yet. I plan going to another store with the kids tomorrow, Finsanity, only a few miles away from pet zone o guess. So hopefully within a few weeks we can have a tank of our own.

Pet Zone is super expensive, corals and fish are soso. The father that owns the place is a goof, alot of bad experiences with him. The son isnt too bad to deal with. They have improved slightly recently though but not much. Save your self a trip. Finsanity is much better and it's only around 10 miles further.

Fin-sanity is pretty small, and not much to look at, but their prices are great.

They get new stock in on Tuesday, so come in after that for the best selection.

There's a full service gas station just a block down from them that has the best price on gas, so hold off on filling up till you get there.
