Pix from Tampa Aquarium

Here are some snaps I took during my visit at the new Tampa Fl. Aquarium. Kinda disappointed if you ask me. The aquascape sucks big time on their reef tanks. If you look @ the bottom pix with the caps and stuff, there is hardly any flow in there at all. I think they just threw things together for it to look nice for a short time. I also saw a tiny 3 inch SPS frag shoved onto the corner of one of their large tank. The thing looks like it's gonna die. But there are some cool artifacts displayed. Really show how far back aquarist go.

I'm in Atlanta now, if I have time I plan on visiting their Aquarium as well. It's one of the largest aquarium in the middle of friggin downtown with WHALES in them. Yup you heard it WHALES in the middle of down town.

Whales or Whale Sharks? I thought it was the latter some sort of honeymooner theme (Ralph, Ed, Alice and Trixie_

they have 2 small beluga whales in there. So yes I did say whales and not whale shark.

They also have whale sharks as well.

well, that aquarium has come along ways since I visited it, growing up in Florida. I vaguely remember one or two we visisted when I was young, but they could have been completely different places. It's funny how alot of those old memories are all sepia toned (or kodachromed, for those that remember that era ) in my mind

I didn't know about the one in Atlanta.. I was there for business about 6 years ago, for quite a length of time (and still talk freqeuntly with people from one of our several offices there) and I can't believe I completely missed out on such a huge aquarium . What is it called ?
