Pixie 150

IMO the issues that have plagued leds is coverage. People who blanket their tanks with leds, hang them high and run them fairly intense seem to have decent success. I think it's the same reason you see great success with leds supplemented with t5's. similar to People getting significantly better results with better reflectors on their MH's.

The spectrum is their with leds now, so it's just about proper coverage and spectrum imo.

You could run those and I'm sure you could get great results out of them. If you do I would run twice as many as you think you should though. That or add t5's, a reefbrite strip etc.

After seeing the results Adam at battlecorals gets with the reef breeders photon v2's, I'll be swapping to those on my 120 as well as running two kessil 150's I have laying around.

I'm running t5's now and love the growth just not the colors and controllability. Previously I ran two kessil 350's and 4 t5's on a 65g tank with great results. The lights you linked seem very similar to a kessil so I'd expect similar results.

For some reason the website is giving me a timeout, but a little google search shows this company had products at MACNA 2016, and while I don't remember the Pixie 150, I do remember the others it showed off, and everything screamed knockoff, they had a knock off Kessil, a knockoff Maxspect Razor, hell they were in the "overflow" room which seemed to be a good number of cheaply made Chinese stuff type booths.

Now all that said, "Chinese must be bad" is not my point, I don't remember them looking terribly good over a tank, color wise, but who knows what this one really looks like, and behaves, and IMO that's the big crapshoot when it comes to these knock off products, not that they're bad, but you go into a LFS to look at corals and all the tanks have Kessils, 360s or 700s, over them you know what that light can do. Simply looking similar externally doesn't mean the same performance.

You can check out Boun and Mitras thread and mine we recently upgraded. Feel they have more spread than the raise cause of the pluck placements
