Facebook took a lot of the folks away from forums like RC. I'm on a few different forums for hobbies and they've all seen a big drop the last few years. That said, folks don't really care to hang out any more in person. There are the true diehards that come around still, but many have left the hobby like they always do, and many are just in the well known reef neglect season of summer. Folks love the Frag swaps though.
Interestingly, people still join forums like RC every day be because they are the best place to get reliable information, today as well as 20 years ago. Mainly we are slow here nick because you left;D So, raise them younguns and get a tank going again! The two Ritteri I bought from you are thriving, but the big purple one is in my fuge as it tried to wander scaring the bejesus out of me.
Huh....
I still dont do the book of Faces, so I didnt realize they had taken so much traffic from Forums like RC.
I'm in the research stage of setting up a freshwater planted tank for the kids.
I'm steering them towards a Betta "Sorority"/Harem of female Bettas, (they can be kept together if you get enough of them to spread the aggression around..like 5-7 in a 20 gallon).
I've got it mostly figured out, and will be trying to keep this "simple" - IE no CO2 additions. It will be a 20L with a 20H sump and DIY stand. Cant look like a "science project" according to the wife as it will be upstairs in the corner of the dining room.
If I do it right, I can set the hook for the moving them to a slightly larger planted tank and I can take the 20L for a nano reef. But that will be awhile from now.
IIRC, Pizza nights were Thursdays, and I always have problems with either being working, or having to work the next morning early.....
I'll figure it out cause you guys were mostly cool to hang out with.
Ebius not so much, but the rest of you were...
Glad the Ritteri's are still doing well.
I do miss them but dont think one would do well in a 20L nano.
