I got this guy a while back and he's not growing. I have him in id say medium lighting with moderate flow. He's offset so as to not get blasted by anything. He has grown some since I got it but his rim is almost completely white. It looks blue in the pic but it's not. Can anyone tell me what the best needs for it is.

For More Growth You Need to Feed Chalices.

I Feed 4 Different Foods to my Chalices

1. Reef Roids
2. BRS Reef Chili
3. Seachem AquaVitro Fuel (Vitamin and Ammino Acid Supplement)
4. Larry's Reef Frenzy Frozen Food (LRS)

Here is my Feeding Schedule

Tuesday -

- Reef Roids
- BRS Reef Chili
- Seachem AquaVitro Fuel (Vitamin and Ammino Acid Supplement)

I mix all 3 Together in some Tank Water and Target Feed the Chalices with a Pipette.

Friday -

- Reef Roids
- BRS Reef Chili
- Seachem AquaVitro Fuel (Vitamin and Ammino Acid Supplement)

I mix all 3 Together in some Tank Water and Target Feed the Chalices with a Pipette.

Sunday -

- Larry's Reef Frenzy Frozen Food (LRS)

I Target Feed with a Pipette after Chopping it Up Fine with a Razor Blade.

Usually the edges, where new growth is, are a light color. Low to med light and medium flow for general guidelines.

Chalices, besides Hollywood stunner, are slow growing too

The Chalice corals I have all seem to prefer low to moderate lighting and flow and they usually take awhile to settle in before they really start to grow well. Your Alkalinity, Calcium, Magnesium, Nitrates & Phosphates all need to be within reason too though. GL.
