placement of corals

Hi

2 questions:

I currently have the following coral in my 30g solona tank w/ 96w pc: (they are all frags except the xenia)

Monti-caps
frogspawn
huge piece of rock w/ elongated xenia
neon toadstool
kenya tree
star polyps
(common) green mushroom

-I just read that mushrooms sting other corals, Is that right? I want to frag them and let them grow wild so this may spoil my plans

-Since the kenya tree will eventually get out of control, whats the best way to keep him in the sand without blowing away for now since its a frag?

Mushrooms are pretty good at competing with other corals, especially many SPS. Your montipora caps are probably in the most danger, if the mushrooms get close. But, if they do get close, you can always frag them away and pocket some cash or trades :)

any suggestions regarding the kenya tree?

get rid of it? ;) Even if you can isolate the piece as a colony in the sand, it will drop various arms that you will find throughout the tank.

Agreed.

Yeah, I have had all sorts of "pest corals" and my kenya tree is the only one I couldnt keep under control. They drop branches all the time.

Its really annoying.
