Placement

My tank is a 120g 48x24x24. I hung a Sunlight Supply Tek 8 Bulb fixture 5" off the water. My current aqua scape provides a table top of rock which is about 12" below the actual light bulbs. This puts almost all of my SPS about 12" under the bulbs. While the tank has been set up for 18 months now. I have some great colors. Only problem is that I am putting everything on the top of the rock and I am running out of real estate. Can some of my SPS be moved down while still maintaining the color? Where would you place them?

The following represents my current SPS:

1) Ora Plum Crazy
2) Ora Red Table Planet-great growth but lost all of the green base.
3) Ora Frog Skin
4) Green Slimer
5) Cali Tort
6) Sublata
7) Montiporas (Jedi Mind Trick, Sunset Monti, Setosa)
8) Valida

Can any of these make it lower in the tank? Again, all are at the very highest point in the tank.

I'd put them where ever I want them to be and observe for polyp extension and any slight color variations during the week. I use Mh so i cant say for sure about t5

the furthest I have an acro from my 8 bulb T5 fixture is 20 inches, I just measured it.

I have the same system as you 120gal. tank and Tek 8 bulbs, I grow SPS 4in. of the bottom. You should be fine if you move yours down.

Red planet can go down and will get the nice contrast back, the slimer can go just about anywhere, also the montis
