Plankton culture question

I've just grown my first culture of live phytoplankton, but I'm a little worried about using it...

Here's what I did.

2L empty coke bottle
Salt to about 1.019
1ml of Kent essential elements
1 Tablespoon of DTs reef blend
14 drops of concentrated plant food fertilizer (I'm just now starting a 2nd batch using only 7 drops of fertilizer, just to see what happens)
Gently bubbled....

At about 5 days, the culture looked pretty good...the depth of green colour was steadily darkening.

But by the end of the 6th day, the culture had become more dark red-green, instead of a dark-green. It is certainly dark...so it doesn't appear to have crashed. Can this be normal? Or do you think the culture is somehow "off"? Is what you might get when you start with something like DTs?

DT's is a blend of 3 different phytos I believe so one of them may just be outcompeting the others and that is the color difference you see. As long as it's dark it should be fine.
