I am in the beginning stages of planning to upgrade my 55 gallon to a 180. I want it to be a mixed reef tank with fish. I have been working with a local service company to come up with a basic list of equipment. What other equipment would you recommend on top of what they are recommending and why? I am open to suggestions. I have been lurking on this form for a couple months now and have been doing a lot of reading but I am no means as knowledgeable as most out there. Below is what the local service company is recommending:
Perfect 180 Reef Ready Tank
Eshopps Sump with 18x11 skimmer area
Octopus NWB in sump skimmer
QUite One 4000 pro
300w heater
Wavemaker (manufacture unknown)
Storage container with ATO
AI Hydra lighting (currently have 2 would just need to add 1 or 2 more)
Custom built stand
Again, this is a very basic setup for now.
Should I be looking at dosing pumps or reactors?
Thanks for the input. I am going to start building this mid fall with the intentions to be done before the winter is over.
