For tank manufacturers, I was very happy with Miracles in Glass. Their customer service is second to none. Do some research here, you may find one that you like even more. There was some company in California that used PVC sheets for the bottom of the tank (Elos?). It reduces weight by a hundred pounds, and is more durable. I really liked the design, but it was too pricey for me.
Also, if you are going with a custom tank, insist on a eurobraced bottom, which many manufacturers will include as standard. Unless you plan to run bare bottom you'll never notice it and it will greatly increase the strength of the tank.
I would also opt for an external overflow if I did it again. My internal one chews up too much space.
Finally, get at least four holes drilled in your overflow to allow you to do a Bean Animal. You'll thank me later.
