Planning advice on a 4000 liter/ 1000 gallons project

Hello everybody,

at the moment we are in the planning stage regarding a new seawater tank. Our current tank is 176 gallons/670 liter. As with nearly any tank space gets tight and so we plan to extend. Knowing many of you folks out there have a good experience with big tanks I would appreciate to change ideas/experience with you. Who likes to participate?
My currents planning is:
* New location in the corner of a basement converted to a living room (35 square metres), refugium in a secondary workroom
* living room is equipped with a floor heating
* Planned tank size is 310*140*100 cm, meaning about 4000 liter/1000 gallons
* Tank should stand either on several bearers based on the concrete under the attic between the heating pipes or on 7 stone walls based on the concrete (heating pipes need to be passed through holes in the walls)
* Refugium with 800 liter/ 210 gallons in workroom (not heated at the moment)
* Tank should mainly contain LPS, few SPS and tridacnae. Only few and relatively little fish (apart from Z. xanthurus, A. japonicus, L. vulpinus from our current tank)
Regarding the equipment I am especially uncertain and would appreciate any of your experience. Current ideas are:
* 2*2 Tunze Masterstream (switching betweeen right/left)
* mechanical pre-filter
* flotation maybe Tunze Masterdoc, maybe Sander or Ratz
* Red Dragon 8000 l/h from existing tank, amended by a second pump
* Calcium via Balling system
The tank might be made from:
* Glass fiber with acrylic front window
* Classic Glass
* (Acrylic tank)
My most important questions are:
Does anybody know the components planned and can give input with personal experience?
Who has realised similar projects and might have helpful ideas?
Who has experience with glass fibre tanks?
Living in Germany we have a very large shortfall as our energy supply is extremely costly compared to other countries. Therefore any ideas on possible equipment saving energy would be extremely helpful.
Looking forward to a great discussion/exchange of ideas,

Kati and Lars

I dont know the language but I think "wie gehts" is close. Im not much help on the items you mentioned but I think alot of the guys with big tanks use closed loops for flow. Good luck on your project.

you should make it out of concrete and have one viewable pane of starfire glass. ive seen it on another thread here and it was very sleek.
