Planning New Tank

Hello All,
I currently have a 90 G mixed reef tank. I want to upgrade in the near future. I was wondering what steps would go into planning the upgrade. I want to have sharks in my new tank and rays. I don't know what size would be appropriate for having sharks. I was thinking at least a 400G tank the largest would be a 1000G I would do. I want to know where some good site or advice to planning this out. I want to make my dream tank and there is so much to think about. Any advice would greatly be appreciated. Thanks!!

1000 gallon would be a minimum size. See alprazo's build here on RC.

Yeah, even the smallest sharks get large quickly and you won't be able to keep them for any amount of time in even a 1000g. Once they get to size, they're not easy to get rid of either. Plan out where you can build an indoor pond, maybe a good chunk of the basement. Cheaper than a tank of that size too.
