That looks like Sargassum playtcarpum. Can you post a top-down picture or pics from other angles?

I can't get that stuff to do well for me. Maybe I'll look for some LR scraps with some starting on it and try again.

I will try and get another picture up this weekend. Is there another name for Sargassum playtcarpum? Couldn't find any information about it on the internet.
