Plant to grow in display tank with tangs

Hello.

Is it possible to grow some plants in the display tank and avoid tangs to eat them? May be there are some types of marine plants tangs wouldn't eat?

I'm not 100% sure but I think it largely depends on what type of tangs you have. Certain species like hepatus aren't too keenon algae but others such as sailfins will plough through it very quickly.

I think powder blues are a fairly effective algal grazer.

It might nibble at it in the beginning but providing you can get the plant established it should be able to cope withan ocassional nibbling.

Sorry I am not really to sure what your powder blue would not eat.

But, my hepatus (blue hippo) has taken zero notice of a recently introduced halimeda. Crabs onthe other hand seem to enjoy picking at it.
