Plate Coral Growths

Hey all, my plate coral was migrating due to a tunneling goby and I decided to move it back. When I did, I noticed these on the underside. Anyone have a clue? I can't imagine it being reproductive in nature since they are on the bottom, but I can't find anything online that shows this.

A defensive last effort when the coral feels threatened etc. Those are spawns from the coral and will soon be small plates on stalks that can be clipped later. :thumbsup:

Interesting, wonder what it feels threatened about. Eats like a champ every other day and always has tentacle extended/inflated. Either way, babies! Woo!

I agree with the babies they will pop up on plates from time to time
