Plate question

I was out checking my local fish stores and I noticed a red/pink plate for a good price. The down side was that the flesh was taught and virtually no tentacle's visible at all. I passed on buying it due to a few ribs have skeleton showing after a closer inspection.

Did I make the right decision?

Do all plates have puffy flesh and visible tentacles?

Thanks for your time

Looks good to me. Easy to repair any damage on plates. Dip in coral revive and feed them.

I love plates. I get new ones every week. Love to see these guys eat and fully expand.

One of my favorites.
