Plating monti breaking :(

Looking for advise on how to mount this. I stuffed it between 2 rocks but now it's drooping down at rock line. I'm afraid it's gonna break off and loose the 1/2" it's grown. Should I have mounted it on a pedestal under the monti?
I am not getting any light where it's inserted, maybe that's the cause.

I would personally mount it higher as it needs more light. Also, just put some epoxy and glue under it and smoosh it down where you want it.

Pretty much what Tweaked said. As soon as you give that thing some room, it's gonna grow like crazy. Caps are amazing to give you something that you can frag for cheap and then save the $$ to get you a piece you really want.

I have noticed I can manipulate the direction of growth with one of my little pumps.
I have one little piece mounted vertically (fragged piece) and its growing horizontal plates about 1/4 apart. Pretty cool anyway.
