Platinum clowns

well, that's totally depend on you.
Some people pay 5000 for a McCulloch pair and it's worth to them but for me, I wouldn't even pay 100bucks for them.

I've heard of people getting them and only lasting 6-8 months..Idk if its due to the fact that they are a mutation/inbred or not

EDIT: I also think they are incredibly hideous. The whole point of having a reef tank to me is to recreate a marine reef environment with what would naturally occur in the wild. JMO :)

That's about what I paid for mine... If they're worth it to you then that's what matters, what they're worth to someone else or what they think about them doesn't matter much, it's your tank :)

you guys should just wait till there $15.00 a piece in about 20years, clowns are becoming more and more different these days an ofcoarse your gonna pay a good penny for a nice fish, end of story!!!

I really love the snowcasso / Picasso clown because of the patterns <º)))>< <º)))>< <º)))>< <º)))>< <*}}}><

It's really up to you. It's your tank. I wouldn't have bought one if I wouldn't have gotten a decent deal. I now have a Percula Platinum paired with a Sanjay's black photon(which is an Occy/Percula cross). I like this pair because it's different. I don't like having what "everyone else has" per say.

I like that combo. Wish there were more Photons out there.

Wow, debate went a little further than I wanted it to. Was just wondering what the value was. After seeing more pictures, I think I'll keep my BW and regular occ.

I couldn't disagree more with the first half of your post. They don't "last" because of poor husbandry, not genetics. They are not mutated in any way, and are line-bred, not inbred. Read more.
