Playing with Macro Setting

I've been trying to figure out how to get some of those really close up pics that some of you guys get. Maybe my camera just won't do it. Here's a few samples of what I can get. When I try to focus any closer the picture just goes completely blurry and I can't focus it. If anyone has any tips, please let me know. The camera is a Sony DSC-H2. Thanks.

First, you're IN the Macro mode, right??
Second, go to Manual focus, not Auto. Then, Open up your F-stop (aperature)

Oh... turn all your Pumps Off too and let the current settle down.

Yes, in macro mode for sure. I was thinking that I probably needed to go to manual focus, but I can't figure out how to do it. I don't even know what the F-stop(aperture) is, LOL. Thanks for the suggestions, guess I'm gonna have to figure out how to get to those settings. I think the manual focus is the thing that would really help me if could just figure out how.

LOL. Ok, after a bit of research I at least understand what aperture is now. Seems to work much like the pupil in the eye. Open lets more light in with a broader focus and closed lets less light in with a smaller focus range. Now just gotta figure out how to use mine. I looked at the owner's manual and the camera doesn't seem to have a manual focus per say, but you do have some control over it. I don't really understand how it works myself, so sure not gonna try to explain it.
