I got this guy from my LFS because he was pretty unique looking and then later today I had a message from the owner (lfs has forums, how cool is that?) that its a Tyree LE version of the green polyp toadstool.. I was like okay thats neat, does that mean I can brag?

But its the brightest thing in my tank so far (going on 4 months now) and we're going slow and patient.. so here he is :

Sounds and looks like a Sea in the City deal. They had some of those green tip toads a few months ago.

You're absolutely right :) I love their place and you really can't beat the prices either.. I just hate waiting for the really good stuff (had Marcye put me down for a plate coral :):):)

Mine seems to grow very slow. I wondered if there is a trick to increasing growth rates. I have had mine almost a year with minimal oof no growth.

They are a small shop, but are moving into a larger space (I can't wait!!!) Marcye gives great advice and they have quite a good selection considering their size!

I live in Tampa but am in orlando alot.I'll have to check it out.It looks pretty.today I got this toadstool that is 10 inches high and the head thing is like 8inches.Only $32.

Are they on the west side of Orlando? mandrin13 how long of a ride would u say from 75 to their door?

They are on the East side of Orlando, directly off of the 408. From 75, you will be looking at 45mins to an hour, depending on traffic.

From 75, take the turnpike to the 408, then take the 408 to the Conway exit. Take a left at the light and it will be the first light. Turn right, and then make ur first left. SITC is a little building on the right hand side...

how long did it take to get to that size? I bought one yesteday was about the size of a dime.

Cove Beach
the only difference i see between the one u have and the one i bought except the size is the color of the polyps...mine has green extensions. They had the tan polyp ones too in a larger size, but thought the green would be more rare.

benf, the color could be due to lighting-IMO.

cstires-any good and easy directions from Tampa. I-4??? I would love to check it out, I hear so many good things about that LFS and Marcye...Thanks in advance.

Going there i went I4 to exit 82A(408) and she is about 5 mins from that point, because of an accident i asked her another way which was taking 417(airport exit) all the way around to 408 then underhill rd and she is 2 blocks from that point.

You will find it easier (less traffic) taking the 417, but still took me close to 1hr/40min.

What part of Tampa are you in?

Im right by the Hard Rock Casino...off I-4 the Hillsborough Ave exit. Wow, 1hr 40min...thats pretty far, Im a need a whole day for that...Thanks
