this algae is taking over my tank (rocks, walls, powerheads, etc) and appears to be harming my corals. can anyone help identify and make suggestions to get rid of it? it doesn't look like dinos as i don't see bubbles on it.

this is very frustrating but i'm not going to give up! thanks in advance!

Most likely hair algae. Everyone has different methods, but i have good results from removing sand and adding clean up crew (snails, hermits). Sea hares just died on me, so did lettuce nudis, foxface didnt touch it.

tank is 16 months old. i used marco dry rock since the beginning. maybe rocks are releasing phosphates? phosphates show 0 on hanna checker.

this brown looking algae doesn't appear to be fine like green hair algae. it is a bit coarse looking.

My hair algae was the same way, almost fern like. I was paranoid it was bryopsis. But nope, just hair algae.
