Please help ID this its growing like weed

I'm not saying "it's bad" I'm saying "it's high"

and im saying that it isn't high. if anything maybe marginal to medium. test strip charts read 0=IDEAL 20-40= OKAY 80-160= UNSAFE
high to me is when it starts to get unsafe. and that's around 60 to me. when I know very well that I keep my levels high but I don't house anything incredibly sensitive to higher nitrate levels.

Okay I'll correct myself "IT'S NOT IDEAL"

looks like hair algae. derbesia or something similar.

go slow man, if you have aiptasia use red sea aiptasia-x is my opinion

but thats hair algae, 99% sure. if you can get a close up of one that would be great. but it does not look like aiptasia at all fromwhat i can see in the pic.

algae, aiptasia- doesnt matter. there is no need to get all crazy in your tank. take your time, do research. only add stuff to your tank when you know 100% what it is and what you need to do.

knee jerk reactions to things in your tank are dangerous. watch your water parameterS and algae will go away on its own. its not going to be overnight.

i recommend weekly or every two weeks water changes. especially if you have sub-par filtration. my tank likes the water changes and it will reduce nitrates. i aim for 20% per month (5% a week).

Thanks for all replies. Heres update. This things turned white and almost disapeared but now im getting lot of green algae on the rocks and on the glass. Chateo in the fuge doesnt grow under 57k cfl. Any idea why ?
