Please help ID

We have had this particular saltwater tank set-up for just over 1 year. Today is the first time we've seen this critter. It was moving along a rock and hiding in the crevasses. It is huge! This is only about 1/2 of its body...Our guess is sea slug or chiton, but we aren't sure which nor of course the specific species. If anyone knows what this is or has info on whether it is good or bad, we I'd much appreciate the input.

100% sure it's not a Chiton. Beyond that... I have no idea.
You said it's huge but never offered a guess at the length.
 
Yes, it has a ridge down the middle like a polyclad flatworm, although it can be tricky to ID a nondescript black animal from a single pic ;)
