Please help identify - yellow tang

Hi, just noticed this "wound" on my yellow tang. I had just introduced a bicolor angel and I had a coral beauty that I think killed the bicolor angel. I didn't see the tang interact with the new fish but I wonder if there was maybe some fighting that I didn't see and this is a war wound or is there maybe something else going on. Any body know what this may be?

Did it get pulled into a pump intake or gyre temporarily?

It looks like the face area has the same issue. I think you have some kind of illness going on. I would set up a hospital tank and get him out of there. Possibly could be some type of external infection.

Thanks, he could have got stuck in the intake for the powerhead, I've seen it happen to another fish. It did seem to happen overnight because I hadn't noticed anything the day before. However, I also see the issue about the face. I will have to watch him closely or take him to the LFS. I don't have a qt right now.

Definitely not the other fish or you would see some nipped fins
