Just got this guy...don't know what he is. I bought him with a clown. Any ideas on the type of anemone and the type of clown?

I found my answer...it is a Clarkii clown and a Heteractis manifica (a.k.a. magnificient anemone). I also found out that this is an expert level anemone that is supposed to be difficult to care for...I am in trouble! I am fairly new to this hobby, so now I am wondering if I should try to keep him. Opinions? Anyone had any luck with this guy?

As I said in your other thread, that isn't a Mag, it is either an LTA or BTA.

Are there any "bumps" on the underside of the oral disc?

Could be right on the LTA, Todd and jmadison. Its tentacles are 3-5 inches long when they are extended. The picture does not show this because it is retracted a lot. I don't know about the oral disc. I do know that he is positioned at the lower third of my tank and he has started to move up...he is trying to get on the glass. In its former tank it was on a rock at the very top of the tank close to the light.

Yeah, doesn't look like a Magnifica. I'd say a BTA at first glance, maybe more pics could help us make a definitive id.
