Have been saved up to buy this colony of blue hornets and bought it a few days ago. One polyps has never opened and today there is a brownish layer covers its head. Is it some kind of fungus? I can gently brush some off but then it comes back very quickly. I am worried that this brown layer will prevent it from opening and eventually dies. I am also worried that if it is fungus then the whole colony is in danger. The problem ployps is the one on far left in photo. Please help.
