Okay I'm doing this for the second time now because reefcentral said I had too many pictures and it deleted everything.
Ughhh

Alright.
MICROBUBBLES
They are haunting me in my dreams, I can't get rid of them, and they really bother me, and I want to tear my tank down. Can you see how frustrated I am?
So can everyone on reefcentral help me...you all will be benefitted because then I will be able to make a very beautiful tank for you to stare at.
The work in progress, because I need some money:

So these are my worst enemies:

I've done everything:
Checked for loose odds and ends in the piping
Siliconed an elbow that I thought might be the problem, which didn't work
Cleaned my mag pump out
Tried different position with the output piping

And I still have microbubbles. And the micobubbles aren't from my power head. I turned my power head off

My output piping:

The elbow that I siliconed:

And my sump that is microbubbles free:

Any ideas will help! Please and if you submit the post that fixes the problem and you live in South Florida I'll give you a coral...maybe, in not you can be sure that I will love you forever.

It has to be coming from your return pump. Maybe (and just a guess) it's because the return line goes up and then slightly back down. I bet air is traped in there and the return is slowly blowing it back out with the water.

Yes the extra pic helped.

LOL, cute.
So how would I fix this?

My guess would be to try straitening the return so that it doesn't aim back down to catch air. You might have to shorten the line. Try lifting the middle so it line doesn't go back down anywhere and see if that helps. Might let more air out at first if it's trapped.

I'll fly out to Florida and fix the issue..... If you'll have dinner with me.....

In all honestly just wait. My tank took a few months for everything to slime up before the bubbles went away.

I would also lower the return line a little in the water.

That hose might be the problem because when I started moving it the part that connected to the bulkhead started leaking. So how do I fix that?

What does your drain from the main tank go to? A filter sock or someything like that? Or does it go directly to the skimmer?

If there isn't any bubbles in the sump then it has to be from the return line some where.

Cool! If it's the problem do I win something! Like more pics PM'ed! You know of the fix and all.

Leaking? That's not good! You can try tightening the clamp or get a new clamp. You mean the bulkhead on the tank right?

Luther: Yes I have a filter sock over the drain from the main tank

DOTZ: Well the bulkhead wasn't leaking, I just think the hose isn't on too well so it's leaking. It's only tied on there with a plastic tie

Go to the hardware store and get a metal one with a screw tightener. They might sell plastic ones to but not sure on that.

What size pump are you running on that? It looks like a Mag 5,7, or 9.5. If it is one of the last two then you might think about throttling it down by putting a ball valve on top of the pump. You might just have too much flow going through it.

I would start with shortening the hose going to the return so that there is always positive elevation. This will keep air bubbles from remaining in the return. Also, how is the hose attached to the bulkhead in the tank for the return pipe, is it using a barb fitting as well?
