i'm sure yours is fine just be sure its calibrated...my backup to my refractometer is a swing arm

Please Help me figure this out...keep losing corals
In case anyone was curious I figured I would post an update.
I got my salinity in check, and my parameters back where I like them, alk btw 8.1-.8.3, cal 450-500, mag 1350-1400.
I switched over from esv salt to tropic Marin pro reef as well, I'm about 50gal of water changes w the new salt and so far the fish and nem seem fine . I think the nem adjusted to the salinity change fine, and the clowns are unfased too, they're now ready to lay new eggs before the existing clutch is gone, still have never caught a hatching in person.
I decided to try three frags, 3/$50 sale, they went in the tank on Friday night. They were under an 8 bulb tek lite but on the far outer edge of the light. They are doing ok so far, the green one has great pe, the two blues have good/ok pe so far.
Pics taken earlier today.
iPhone pics so the colors aren't accurate at all sorry, the green one has pretty good color for lfs frags, and the other 2, let's say they have potential, in person each one had slight. New growth rings that are really pretty blues and purples. We shall see , fingers crossed.
I also changed my light program and went back to the vendors program which has great colors.
