Please help me ID

I found this thing in my tank...does anyone know what it is or if it is good or bad? I hope it is harmless.

Snail/worm/something. Maybe peanut worm. Can't tell you with the small picture, but probably harmless.

Edit: work => worm

Maybe I should get back to work.

It looks like an insect larva from freshly-shipped live rock, from what I can see.

from the pic that would be my guess as well. but a little more description would help GREATLY. does it move? or do anything?

Um I just found it floating at the top of the water. It may have been moving when I got it in a cup but I really couldn't be sure because the water in the cup may have been moving.

if it was floating it is probably the casing of an insect larvae. see any strange bugs in your house lately? these things pop up from time to time and its not real uncommon to see them with new rock.
