Please help me identify these plants/algae

I have setup my 180 gallon tank in the last couple of months and have noticed a long string like plant developing in the tank. I am wondering what it is and if it is beneficial or will be a nuisance later.

Then I notice my Walt Smith Fiji rock has some hair like algae growing on it. Again is it benficial or should I be scrubbing the rock to stop it now.

Any help is much appreciated.

Hi, I will be getting a yellow tang soon. Will that help as well? Or is it just urchins and emerald crabs that eat the stuff?

Could be Cladophora, the pics aren't super clear. Yellow tangs may reduce it, or urchins are also a good bet.
