I noticed since yesterday that my blue tang has been randomly scratching hisself onto my life rock I looked very close at him and no signs of ich at all please help what could be the issue

Check you ammonia and nitrite. Could have flukes give it a fresh water dip.

My suggestion would be to immediately quarantine. How big is the tang, how big is the tank, parameters....

Need a bit more information.

Ick starts in the mouth and gills first where it has easy access to the blood it feeds on.
It then shows on the body looking like white dust dots.
If your Tang has stopped or slowed in eating...Ick should be suspected.....and out he must come immediately to lessen the impact on him and the tank.
Blue tangs are very prone to this parasite....
Better safe than sorry in this case would be my guess....if wrong...he can go back in the DT....if right....we can know treat the problem with one of the three standard methods (assuming it was Ick). Can not treat something you can't diagnos.

And if it is Ich, then ALL fish MUST be removed to a QT for treatment. There are exactly ZERO "reef safe" cures for the ich parasite. The Display tank must remain fallow (fishless) for a minimum of 72 days.
