Wondering if anyone might some Myacin or Myacin 2 to treat for Popeye. Not really sure which one. The information I found online just states that I should treat with a gram postitive-negative anitbiotic or antibacterial.
Not really sure what the exact cause is but maybe a long ride in the bag coming home from the fish store is what I'm reading. The site also says that it could be caused by excess bioload from adding the fish in the tank. I actually noticed a slight bulge in the eyes when I added it to the tank but nothing like it is now. He was in an bag for about 7 hours during our drive home from Los Angeles and acclimation. No other fish seem to be affected and I am getting a QT tank ready treat it.
Any information, advice and/or some Myacin would be greatly appreciated. Can he be left to recover naturally? If not treated, will it still pull through? Seems to be eating still but definately looks stressed.
Thank you,
Ryan
