Please Help w/ my ASM Skimmer

The mods are not necessary, but they make things easier. I had no problem with my G3 working without the gate valve mod, but I did the mod for ease of adjustment and because I had some water splashing.

I am having my baffles cut down from 12" to 10 1/4 tomorrow. Does that sound like it should work alright with a G3?

I have my G3 in about 7" of water.
Here is the gate valve mod. I switched it around since then. I also think it is more consistent when the outflow is above the water line in the sump.
