Please help with ATO System

Hey everyone. Need some advise or help. I currently have a RO/DI Buddy 4 stage system. I have about a 2 gallon holding tank that the RO/DI water pumps to. The water is transfer from the 2 gallon holding tank to my sump by my Elos Osmo Digital Controller and pump. My problem is this. I have gone through 3 different ATO float valve kits. I don't know if I have too little water pressure or to much, but when the holding tank gets full, the valve starts vibrating and making noise. So, what I want to install is a system than will monitor both high and low levels in the 2 gallon holding tank. When the level reaches the high level, it will cause an electric solenoid to shut on the supply water for the RO/DI and when it reaches the low level, it will open the solenoid. Any ideas. I want to utilize my Elos Osmo Controler to pump water from my holding tank into my sump. I just need to be able to keep my 2 gallon holding tank full and to shut off the water supply to the RO/DI by solenoid when the holding tank is full. Thanks for any advise.

Welcome to RC.

Here's one solution.

Avast products are excellent. You many find some of their other rigging offers a simpler solution.

One recommendation on posting. Big blocks of text aren't easy to read. Particularly when they're questions. Break it up into cohesive points. What I have. What I need. What I'm asking.

Hope this helps. :bounce3:

That's almost exactly what I'm looking for. The only problem is room. I read the installation manual and it looks like it's requiring PVC sleeves to hold the sensors. My container is about 16" high, 10" wide and 4" deep. I have the pump installed in the container to transfer to my sump plus the float that was attached to the float kit that is not working. But this idea is a HUGE help. Just wonder if there is anything with more compact sensors...

If cost is not a factor and your looking for something that will not only work for this but control a lot of other aspects of your aquarium then you may want to look into a small reef safe solenoid valve, and getting an Apex JR with a break out box, inexpensive float switches and a PM1 or PM2 module. It would be about 300.00, but you will be able to automate many aspects of your aquarium from any smart phone or computer with internet access. And be able to have email or text alerts if anything goes out of wack. Just a thought.
