Please Help With Load Distribution

Hi All! I'm building a stand for a 65gal AGA, The stand will be your typical stand out of 2x4. My question is,once completed my system will clock in at 1000 pounds(incl sump). For this square footage(1.5ftx3ft), there will be 222.222lbs per square foot(yikes). Could I put a large peice of 3/4" ply underneath, that's slightly larger than the stands footprint to dispurse the load?
Thanks!

You can...but your load is only ~1.5 psi on the floor with the current footprint. A person standing on the floor is ~3-5 times that.

Seconly a flat piece of plywood does little to distribute the load, there is already wood on the floor joists (your floor) and the plywood is no stiffer nor is it attached at any point. In other words it is likely a waste of time andd money.
