Please help with my new setup

Hi. I'm a newbie, both in marine keeping and forums, so any advice would be a huge help.
I've just purchased a new Boyo hs-60a. Could anybody tell me if I need any extras to add for a seahorse setup? Here's my tank

(I'm in NO rush to add any horses) i will not be rushing into anything for some months, I'd just like to know if this tank is suitable as it is. Also, is live rock and coral sand okay with a few seahorse safe corals?

Any advice or opinions are really welcome. :)

you could handle a pr of erectus in that tank, but heat could end up being a issue with a closed top system.

Live sand and LR are all ok for seahorses. Just make sure to cure the rock so you don't have any unwanted critters in your tank. In my opinion I wouldn't keep corals until you are really getting the swing of things, zoanthids might work because they are pretty easy to keep, but when I would keep any coral, they'd all die off. Like mtc1966 said you'd be able to keep a pair of Erectus in there, I wouldn't add anything else, maybe just a clean-up crew.
Good luck

I also started with a Boyu tank with live rock and then after 10weeks (once the cycling period had finished) I started adding two small hermit crabs and some mushrooms (corallimorph) and then a couple of weeks later I added some zooanthids. I quickly began to realize that the light with which the Boyu tank comes with wasn't very useful and my zooanthids weren't very happy, so I updated to a better quality marine light globe (Aquaone globe). I thought all was well until I upgraded my tank to a larger one with a better quality lighting system. It was then that I noticed the lighting which the zooanthids had in the Boyu wasn't allowing them to grow and flourish as much as they did once I upgraded the tank and light. I also found the uv sterilizer which the Boyu came with to be useless, so I decided not to use it (no problems in doing so). The protein skimmer was really noisy and I didn't want my seahorses in a constant noisy, stressful environment so I decided to upgrade. Once adding all these better quality extra's I realized that I should have invested in a better quality brand nano tank from the beginning.
