Hi everyone
I bought a clown pair over a month ago
I placed them in QT for about 10d and empirically treated with rid ich +
no issues, healthy appearing

about 2-3 weeks in my DT I noticed the female with some white colored substance on its coat. I thought maybe they had ich, but after about a week it only worsened and the fish seemed fine.

I transferred them both to the QT again worried about brookynella
so I treated for another 10 d with general cure and metroplex after with
no change.

I then thought it could be fungal so treated with kanaplex while continuing metroplex only.

Its been about 2.5 weeks with no change.
not really getting worse, but certainly no better.
I took him out of the tank and his slime coat was present and his scales on one white bar side appears alittle red. He otherwise again looks good and started eating again after the rid ich was through.

what do you think this could be?
Ive practically treated for everything. The smaller male has been doing well since the beginning.

pics/video included

thanks for the help!

I think it could be uronema.
any recommendations for presumed advanced disease - she still looks very good besides external skin changes. I cant get my hand on CP.

I was going to try formalin dips and a bleached QT next
Should I try double dose metroplex?

Are you certain, if it remains stable like that, could it be something else, like velvet or something (I really have not seen many sick fish up close, so I am not sure the redness is indicatory of Uronema).

I found this;
[Uronema:
Typical symptoms are ulcer-like wounds or bloody sites which later develop into large wounds, high mucus formation in the scales, fish scraping themselves on the bottom of the aquarium, and their fins clamp. They swim around at the surface gasping for air. Secondary bacterial infection may also develop.
Treatments: Saving non-infected fish should be the primary treatment. Formaldehyde-Malachite green or Malachite green (Stock solution: 5.0 g/l of distilled water; beginning dose: 1 ml or 20-25 drops/100 l ) alone can be an effective treatment. Quinacrine (100-250 mg/100 l over 10 days) also can have a good effect. Highly concentrated methylene blue in short baths can be helpful. Freshwater baths can also be used. Combining different methods of treatment can sometimes yield to excellent results. Sometimes an antibacterial agent needs to be used, these are added to the aquarium or into thew methylene blue bath. Another antibacterial drug that is recommended is furaltadone or nifurpirinol (10-15 mg/100 l for an unlimited time or as instructed). To ensure a successful treatment: injections of Metronidazole RTU q72 IM at 5mg/kg is effective, as is 50 mg, tubed into the stomach daily (A.D.M. Dove, pers. comm., 2002).]

(I have hear a ton of times that formalin is highly treasured by people who treat many fishes in import and LFS, Metroplex is for specific parasites and I think the white substance on its skin might rather be those algae dinoflagellates "Amyloodinium" that ThRoewer spoke about?)
