I have been treating the ich with kordon rid ich plus and directions say i need to continue treatmentfor 4 days after last spot is gone that is Tuesday the treatment should end any advice would be appreciated thank you

I looked up Kordon Rid Ich Plus, and the two active ingredients listed are formaldehyde & malachite green. I can't remember if these are used to treat freshwater Ich, but I can tell you from experience they aren't very effective against marine Ich (Cryptocaryon). In fact, if you read carefully the website claims this medication "controls Ich and other external protozoan". It's careful not to say that it eradicates or eliminates.

If you're looking for a chemical to kill marine Ich in a QT environment, one with copper listed as the active ingredient will get the job done. Cupramine or Coppersafe are the two most widely available choices. Without seeing a pic, it sounds like your Yellow Tang might be suffering from a secondary bacterial infection. You can use a medication containing antibiotics (such as Maracyn 1 & 2 or Furan-2) to treat that, and you can mix it with copper. Good luck!

^^^^I agree^^^
Formalin (formaldehyde) is about the only treatment for brooklynella ,or doing velvet dips. (Prior to copper treatment). Dips do nothing for ich. You can't keep SW fish with a therapeutic dosage of formalin long enough to get rid of ich.
