My 20 gallon tank is new and has been cycling for 2 weeks with MB7, I also have been ghost feeding fish flakes every day for the past week. I noticed some fuzzy white stuff on my BRS reef saver rock. This morning it is all over and it is getting longer.

What can this be? What should I do next?

Thanks

Everything is at 0. I started with live sand, could it already be cycled? Should I stop dosing MB7?

I'm just scared that the algae or bacteria bloom takes over, but I will definitely give it more time.

I have the same rocks. They will not stay white like that for ever.
Once your tank starts to mature you will have a ton of different things growing.
I had brown diatoms first for about two weeks then green algae after that. Red cyan for about a week because if over feeding reef roids. And lastly long hair green algae.

All I did was water changes every two weeks and sit back and let it all get sorted out by it self.

I got pictures of this mess if you want to see what you might be in for.

Here you can maybe see some brown diatoms. This was at the end of its cycle right before green algae.

The red is again over feeding the corals with reef roids. Had to cut back.

Everything now cleared up I do still have a bit of green but not as bright as I had before.

But all normal.
