I need help moving a tank this weekend, I've never moved a tank before, and mine is well established and am really afraid to lose anything.
Any advice or help is much appreciated! Beers on me! Many frags too.

Thanks

Scott

Can't help, but when I helped my friends all we used was Buckets Buckets Buckets. They have airaters at Walmater for 7buck, throw your coral and ect. in a bucket with one ( Depending on how long the move is), wrap your LR with wet newspaper from your tank it should be fine, leave the sand on the bottom, as long as its not to far of a move you should be fine. And be sure to save every drop of water your can :) good luck.

That's about what I've done in the past as well. Just don't use newspaper with colored ink as it's rumored to contain copper. Not sure about that, but not worth taking a chance. I have some extra smaller buckets at the store if you need to borrow them..also an extra aerator or two. Let me know. Marcye

I feel your pain - we've only been in our new house for 2 years. But my wife decided we need to move again next week.
The good news is I'm upgrading to a 150. With a bit of luck I'll have it set up in time and will just move the rocks and fish.
So I'll be selling the 90 next week....

Last time we moved, I got a bunch of plastic tubs with lids from Walmart.
I put the rock with enough tank water to keep them wet and numbered the tubs so I'd know where to put the rock.....
I also got 3 - 30 gallon food safe drums and filled 2 of them with tank water and the 3rd with new RO/DI salted water.
I made up the difference with new water as needed.

Very important - plan on doing weekly 10% water changes till the tank settles down. We had no losses after our last move.
